The Toldos Yeshurun organization is turning to all friends of our website to ask for help for a particular person. Our friend, whose name, of course, we will not mention, has been directing the Russian-speaking shul of a large Israeli city for many years, drawing hundreds of families who gather around him. He gives classes, helps people make circumcisions, Bar Mitzvos, weddings etc - his entire day is dedicated to the service of people.
But, as often happens in life, a person who gives his all to other people, has nothing for himself. He is renting a tiny apartment together with his wife, his mother and his five children, without as much as the hope of buying an apartment.
We received a promise from an American sponsor that if we will be able to raise ten thousand dollars, he will add another five thousand. In this way, our friend will be able to make the downpayment for an apartment, and receive a bank credit later on.
In helping Rabbi N., you are not only giving financial support to a needy Jew who dedicates all his time to his Congregation and bringing other Jews closer to Torah, you not only earn a portion in the World to Come, but you also merit blessing in this world, as it says: "These are the good deeds the fruits of which a person eats in this world" (Shabbos 127 a).
Through helping our fellowman, we not only do a good deed and fulfull the commandments, but also hasten the Redemption!
