In the middle of the last century, no yeshivos existed in America. It was said that there will be yeshivos in the USA when hair will start growing on the palms of people's hands.

Rav Aharon Kotler, Rav Yaakov Kamenetzky and Rav Moshe Feinstein were the ones who brought about the rebirth of Torah in America.

It is interesting that all of them were "Russians Jews" – Rav Kamenetzky and Rav Kotler were from Minsk, and Rav Feinstein from Lyuban.

Our teacher Rav Yitzchok Zilber was the one who brought about the rebirth of Torah among the immigrants from the former Soviet Union. – as Rav Elyashiv put it: He revived dry bones – most Russian-speaking Torah teachers in Israel and the diaspora are his students.

In continuation of our teacher's work, we invite you to participate in our "Day of Torah" dedicated to the memory of Rav Moshe Feinstein, Rav Yaakov Kamenetzky and Rav Aharon Kotler.

For this occasion, famous lecturers will be coming to New York from Israel: Rabbi Ben Tzion Zilber, Rabbi Tzvi Patlas, Rebbetzin Chava Kuperman (the daughter of Rabbi Yitzchok Zilber) and Rebbetzin Esther Offengenden. Local lecturers will also participate.

Lectures will include: Beis Midrash, lectures for beginners, lectures for women, for those who want to build a Jewish home and for young couples, a class for children (in English). Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss pressing problems.

As of today, about 2,000 people learn in the many programs, evening kollelim and classes of Toldos Yeshurun in Israel. There is the yeshiva, the Rabbinical kollel, and the website which is visited daily by about 2,000 people from the USA, Europe and Israel.

To keep up all these programs requires large material expenses, and therefore the support of American Jews is crucial for us.
