Toldos Yeshurun Day of Torah 2012 - Same Time, Same Place

The Toldos Yeshurun Days of Torah have long become a well-liked tradition. This year, with G-d`s help, the event will take place for the seventh time with the participation of Rav Asher Kushnir, Rav Tzvi Patlas and Rebbetzin Esther Offengenden. Like last year, the Day of Torah is made possible through the efforts of the brothers Eliyahu and Rafael Bureyev.

The main topic of this year`s Day of Torah will be Shabbos and the blessing of this day. Rav Asher Kushnir will introduce his new lecture series "Shabbos and Festivals" which has just been completed, and give a lecture on the topic "Shabbos - the source of blessing". Rav Tzvi Patlas will present his film "You Are Consecrated to Me" about the Jewish family and Shabbos - the mainstay of the home, while Rebbetzin Esther Offengenden will speak on the special role of the woman in the observance of Shabbos.

In addition to the event`s main topic, classes will be given throughout the Day of Torah about childraising and the sercrets of the Torah. There will be an opportunity to make private appointments with the Rabbis.

This year, the entire program, including the lectures, breakfast, light lunch and dinner, will be completely free of charge. The parallel children`s program, too, will be free, but, of course, any donations will be gratefully accepted.

The Day of Torah will take place on November 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at BETH GAVRIEL CENTER 66 - 35 108TH ST., FOREST HILLS, NY 11375.
